My deadline to get my revision of Mercy Lily back to Flux is November 1st so I thought I'd pop in here occasionally and share my ups and downs, highs and lows, Ying's and Yang's of the process.

In spite of having a migraine from the hot lava depths of the earth, today is awesome.

I received the editorial letter and marked up manuscript from my amazing editor at Flux! Wahoo!

Another editor has expressed interest in seeing a revision of MERCY LILY. Yayness!!

Take note: waits can very well be worth it. This one has had it almost a year. And that's through my agent. Just goes to show you how backlogged and busy things are.

As frustrating as waiting can be these days (longer waits due to staff cuts, etc...), stay focused ( Read more... )

Keep sending vibes, too. My YA has piqued the interest of someone I'd love to work with. All I know right now is that it's dang exciting and we should know more soon. It's just interest at the moment. Let's hope the story and the writing help it become more.
